India’s diverse climatic and geographical conditions pose a new challenge to design fabric for the flag. We attempt to find an appropriate technical solution for our Tiranga (tricolor) to keep the tricolour flying in its full glory across the length and breadth of the nation.
SWATRIC has collaborated with the Flag Foundation of India to develop a top-notch and advanced textile solution for the national flag of the country.
The flag should be designed specifically to make it durable for extreme weather conditions without being too heavy. This demands durability, color fastness, and toughness to keep the tricolour flying in its full glory across the lenght and breadth of the nation.
These are mammoth-sized National Flags that are not lowered at the sunset and are adequately illuminated during the night. This was introduced after a policy decision by the Ministry of Home Affairs on 23rd December 2009, which allowed the National Flag to fly day and night on mammoth-sized National Flags.
They always face challenges of being damaged due to heavy winds anbd tough weather conditions. Our unique advanced solution take care of specific requirement for these flags to be durable and weather resistant under extreme condition.
